Use it to
Read and evaluate a repository you did not write, before deciding whether to rely on it.
Resource · Released · version 1.0
The GitHub vocabulary needed to read someone else’s repository: how each word becomes a signal for evaluating a project, how to read a pull request, and fork vs. branch.
Part of Software libre con IA.
Use it to
Read and evaluate a repository you did not write, before deciding whether to rely on it.
For
Spanish-speaking readers who use open-source software but do not contribute code.
How to use
Open the guide and read it alongside a real repository. It is a single self-contained file and also works offline; keep it in the same folder as Repo Scout so the links between them work.
Provenance
Adapts into Spanish, for reading rather than contributing, the Git material of Liz Howard’s Agentic SDLC companion: “Git, for People Who Never Got Good at GitHub” and “Branches, Pull Requests and Release Lanes”.
Maintenance
Released with Software libre con IA (version 1.0, October 2026).
